The  Faculty of Economics and  Administrative  Sciences is the pioneering  faculty  of   Yeditepe  University  which has  been  founded in  1996.  It is one of  the largest  faculties of  Yeditepe  Unıversity  presently  with 2193 students  and 90  academic  staff.

 

The Faculty of Economics and Adminstrative Sciences consists of seven  departments.”Business Administration”, “Economics”, “Public Administration” and “Political Science and International Relations” departments offer programs that are  completely taught in English.  In addition to the English teaching departments,  “International  Business  Administration” and  “Business  Informatics” departments offer  programs  taught  in German and  “Political Science and International  Relations”  department  offers  program  taught  in  French.

 

Our  programs have a strong  focus on  providing  foreign language skills. The  main  objective  of  the  undergraduate  education  in  this  faculty  is to  give  the  necessary  skills  and  expertise  required  in  today’s  competitive  and  global  business , economic and  political  environment.  As a result of meeting  high  international  standards, our  graduates are generally able to find employment opportunities in multinational companies all around the world. Each  semester  under  the  framework  of  Erasmus  and  other  Exchange  programs  about 30 students  of  our  faculty  have  the  opportunity  to  study  abroad  at the  universities in  the  United  States, Canada, Japan  and  Europe  and  we  welcome  about  the  same  number  of  students  from  other  countries  without  having  any  problem  in  transferring  credits  between  universities.

We aim  to provide  our  students  with  the skills  of  analytical  thinking, problem  solving,  effective  decision  making  and  strategy  building.  Our  students  gain  a  solid  academic  foundation  but  will  also  learn  how  to  translate  these  findings in  practice  through  applied courses, case  studies  and  internships.  Each  department in the  faculty  maintains  contacts  with  industry  and keeps up-to-date with the needs that arise in the NGOs, private  and public sector. Through interdisciplinary and industry- oriented projects, students also are able  to  make  contacts  within  business life.  

 

For those students who feel ready to take on extra challenge beyond their regular course of  study, our  faculty  offers  double  major  programs  within  the  faculty  and with  other  faculties.  Besides  major  study  programs,  the  faculty  also  provides  a number  of  minor  specializations, thus enabling students increase their knowledge and prepare them for their   professional  careers  in the  future.
