The mission of Faculty of Education at Yeditepe University is to offer a comprehensive teacher education program to the future teachers and guidance and counsellors that would equip them with the most up-to-date knowledge in their respective subject areas.  Presently, we offer programs in Mathematics Education, Turkish Language & Literature Education, and English as a Foreign Language Education, Computer Education and Instructional Technology, and Guidance and Psychological Counselling. Mathematics Education and Turkish Language & Literature Education programs are geared towards secondary education, whereas the English as a Foreign Language Education, Computer Education and Instructional Technolgy, and Guidance and Psychological Counselling are for the entire pre-collegiate grades. 

The coursework at our Faculty presents a wide range of elective educational topics, while offering students a solid subject area knowledge as the core curriculum to prepare themselves in their  prospective fields of expertise.  We believe that in teacher education,  a solid area expertise combined with teaching skills and methods is vital. We focus on educating teachers  who are competent in their subject areas.

One of the advantages of our teacher education programs is that the eight groups of K-12 schools affiliated with İSTEK Foundation, the very same foundation in which our university dwells, provide an excellent stage for actual teaching practices for our students as well as research opportunities for our faculty for the betterment of our programs.
