THE INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES PHD IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM APPLICATIONS
The Institute of Social Sciences Ph.D. in Business Administration Program (in English) accepts student applications once a year, for Fall Semester. Applications are not accepted for Spring semester. The education language of the program is English.

Application documents listed below should be submitted to the Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences in a sealed envelope.
Applicants who can prove their English proficiency with the valid test scores listed below can apply to the Ph.D. program. Only those candidates who have proof of English proficiency will be admitted to the written exam. The written exam will be given by the Department of Business Administration.
Interviews: Applicants who have passed the written exam will be invited for an interview on the dates that will be announced in this web site. The interviews will start at 10:00 am. and continue during these days.
Students who are accepted to the program will be determined according to the exam results listed above and the submitted application documents.
The proof of English proficiency is also required for candidates who had received their undergraduate/graduate degrees from Turkish or foreign universities giving education in English. Yeditepe university graduates are also required to submit their English language test results and the necessary application documents. Candidates who do not have valid TOEFL, IELTS, KPDS or UDS test scores can take Yeditepe University English Proficiency Exam.
Applicants will state the track they apply (Accounting & Finance, Management& Organization, Marketing Management or Organizational Behavior) during the written exam given by the Department of Business Administration.
- Preparatory Courses: Students who have taken and successfully completed the preparatory courses within the last 5 years with a BB or higher grade may be exempted from taking these preparatory courses. After students are accepted to the program, the preparatory courses that students are exempted will be determined by the related faculty committee. The preparatory course exemptions will be determined by examining the transcripts that candidates submitted in their application packages.
- According to Yeditepe University regulations, the maximum time limit to complete the PhD program (including thesis writing period) is 8 semesters. The time period a student takes preparatory courses is not included in this 8 semester time limit. The maximum time limit to finish the preparatory courses is an extra 2 semesters.
- PhD classes in Business Administration department are usually offered on weekdays between 19:00-22:00 while some PhD classes are offered during the weekend between 9:30-12:30 or 13:00-16:00.

- Filled out application form (it is possible to fill it in online from Institute of Social Sciences website or e-mail the Business Administration Department to receive the form in English.)
- Photocopies of Undergraduate and Graduate Transcripts, (photocopies of official documents)
- Photocopies of Undergraduate and Graduate diplomas,
- Photocopy of Evidence of Proficiency in English,
- Photocopy of GMAT or ALES score card,
- Two Academic Recommendation Letters,
- Curriculum Vitae (in English),
- Copy of document showing the applicant's military service status (For Turkish citizens only).
Documents Required for Registration (for accepted PhD students):
- A GMAT score of minimum 550 or ALES score (minimum 70 in equal weight) (Original score card should be submitted),
GMAT score should be received within the last two years. ALES score should be received within the last three years.
- Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL CBT 217/ TOEFL IBT 79/ IELTS 7.0 KPDS/ÜDS 80, received in the last two years or a minimum score of 80/100 from the Yeditepe University English Proficiency Exam. The proof of English proficiency is also required for candidates who had received their undergraduate/graduate degrees from Turkish or foreign universities giving education in English.
- Notary approved copies of undergraduate and graduate diplomas,
- For Turkish citizens who received their diplomas from abroad: A diploma equivalence document to be received from the Higher Education Council of Turkey (Y.Ö.K.),
- Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (minimum graduate GPA 3.00/4.00),
- Four pictures,
- Document showing the place of residency.
- Copy of notary approved identification document (For Turkish citizens only).
- Original document showing the applicant's military service status (For Turkish citizens only).
Additional Documents Required for International Applicants:
- Photocopy of passport pages.
