The significant development in arts industries in the past two decades in Turkey resulted in a rising need for capable art managers who can collaborate expertly with both arts and business professionals.

Founded in 1998, the Department of Arts Management offers educational opportunity for students with a profound interest both in the arts and in business. The program is designed to provide all students a well-established undergraduate arts education and a basic understanding of the business world. In addition to mastery of the foundations of art and business, Arts Management students build up proficiency in communication. It offers education in the classroom and in the field for those who want to manage creative enterprise including the arts and entertainment sectors.

The students gain knowledge of broad management and administrative skills, and apply those skills in their work with art institutions. Emphasis is placed on developing within the student the means to understand people, work efficiently and form social responsibility.

Advisors within the Department of Arts Management are readily available and are committed to setting up a one-on-one relationship with each student.
