Dietitian and Phytotherapy expert Buket Ertaş Sefer from Yeditepe University Kozyatağı Hospital emphasized that the sensation of perpetual hunger, a common experience for many, can often be attributed to factors beyond genuine physical hunger. She highlighted the importance of thoroughly investigating the underlying causes of this persistent feeling of hunger.

According to Sefer, societal pressures related to physical appearance, improper dietary habits, and prolonged, unnecessary fasting contribute to an increase in impulsive eating tendencies during non-dietary periods. Sefer also noted, 'The tendency to constantly crave food unfortunately affects a segment of society. While some hunger is prompted by genuine physiological needs, certain false hunger pangs are purely psychological.
