OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED BY YEDITEPE UNIVERSITY'S FOR 2019 YKS CANDIDATES.

  • In the YKS Guide
    • the scholarship which will be provided to the students placed in a full scholarship program covers the full tuition fee.
    • the scholarship which will be provided to the students placed in a 50% scholarship program covers half of the tuition fee.
    • the scholarship which will be provided to the students placed in a 25% scholarship program covers a quarter of the tuition fee.

Scholarships and discounts also cover the length of time that can be spent in the Compulsory Foreign Language Preparatory Programs as well as the student’s regular undergraduate study (10 semesters for 4-year-programs, 12 semesters for 5-yearprograms and 14 semesters for 6-year-programs) regardless of academic achievement.

For those who attend a double major program while studying in any scholarship or discount program, one semester is added to this term.

  • The top 100 students placed into a program based on DİL scores, 500 TL is granted for a 9-month period during preparatory school and undergraduate study
  • The students placed in programs that require any of the SAY, SÖZ, and EA scores are granted the following scholarships:

FOR 9 MONTH DURING THE MANDATORY PREPARATORY SCHOOL AND UNDEGRADUATE STUDY PERIOD

1,750.00 TL a month for the first   100 students
1,500.00 TL a month for the first   500 students

NOTE: 

  1. Free Access to the university’ sports facilities
  2. Free accommodation at the residence halls. Free service bus services for the ones who do not opt for free accommodation.
  • For the first 15000 students placed in programs which they choose as their first five options (for the first 100 students based on their DİL scores), based on the programs which require any of the SAY, SÖZ, and EA scores, the opportunities mentioned above as well as free food for 9 months are provided.
  • The first 15000 students placed in programs which require any of the SAY, SÖZ, and EA scores (for the first 200 students based on their DİL-1 scores) will have the opportunity to attend international student exchange programs primarily for a semester provided that requirements are met. These international student exchange programs are with universities in the U.S.A., Canada and Europe that the university has signed protocols with.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
    • Holding an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a diploma score of 32 and above
    • Students who meet one of the following criteria listed below and who have ranked Yeditepe University among their first five (5) preferences in the choice form are offered a 25% tuition waiver scholarship:
    • Holding an ABITUR diploma with a diploma score of 2,0 and above
    • Holding a MATURA diploma with a diploma score of 2,0 and above
    • Holding a MATURITA diploma with a diploma score of 80 and above
    • Holding a French Baccalaureate diploma with a diploma score of at least 14 (In case of diplomas issued by high schools in Turkey, a diploma score of at least 70, provided that the diploma is the equivalent of the French Baccalaureate)
      • an exemption for some courses in the first year of the program in which they are placed, taking into account the grades they have taken from their basic courses.
    • With the condition of starting at the latest within two calendar years after undergraduate program and a minimum GPA of 3,00:
      • Students who graduate as first in their program will receive a full scholarship for a master’s degree program
      • Students who graduate as second in their program will receive a 60% scholarship a master’s degree program
      • Students who graduate as third in their program will receive a 40% scholarship a master’s degree program.

[Students who graduate from the programs that have the right to do a PhD without a Master's degree benefit from the above mentioned scholarship opportunities in the University's doctoral programs under the same conditions. Students graduating from the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry cannot benefit from this opportubity in specialization equivalent doctoral programs.]

The above-mentioned postgraduate scholarship opportunities can be used only once.

  • Students who have studied for at least three (3) years at and graduated from ISTEK Foundation High Schools, or students who have studied for at least five (5) years at and graduated from ISTEK Primary and Secondary Schools and are placed at Yeditepe University in one of their first five (5) preferences are offered:
  • a 25% tuition waiver scholarship if they are placed within the quota of non-scholarship programs.
  • a 50% tuition waiver scholarship if they are placed within the quota of quarter scholarship programs.
  • a 75% tuition waiver scholarship if they are placed within the quota of half scholarship programs.
  • an additional food scholarship if they are placed within the quota of full scholarship programs.

    If a student who is entitled to one of the scholarship mentioned above has a CGPA of less than 2.00 out of 4.00, the scholarship will be canceled. However, if the GPA again rises above 2.00, the student will regain scholarship status again.


     
  • Students whose parent(s) is/are employed in one of the institutions within the ISTEK Foundation or at Yeditepe University are eligible for a 50% tuition waiver scholarship.
  • Students admitted to Yeditepe University may become eligible to receive an Academic Merit Scholarship based on the principles determined by the University Boards. Depending upon a student's ranking in the respective term, the scholarship covers tuition fees for the following academic semester to the extent shown below:

The Academic Merit Scholarship is offered before the registration in the Fall term, on the condition that the number of students enrolled in the program is at least 35 and to the students who are within the normal period of education of their respective majors. (Irregular students may not be able to get any scholarships)

This scholarship ends at the end of the relevant academic year.

  • An Athletic Scholarship is a %50 scholarship for the relevant academic year including the Foreign Language Preparatory Program. It is valid for
    • Students who are accepted to the University sports team in the areas of Basketball, Volleyball and Handball
    • students participating in national sports events in the name of the University

The Athletic Scholarship is discontinued if the student,

  • fails to achieve a GPA of at least 2,00 out of 4,00,
  • is subject to a disciplinary action,
  • is removed from the team by the coach or the trainer either because of the student’s lack of discipline, inadequate performance, or permanent injury
  • who is involved in individual sports is twice consecutively not invited to the National Team.

    However, the Athletic scholarship is reinstated if the student achieves the required GPA and athletic performance again.

Students can benefit from only one scholarship offer; those who become eligible for more than one scholarship are allowed to benefit from the highest one.
