The French Journal Hermès Opens Its Türkiye Office

The Türkiye office of Hermès, one of the most prestigious journals in France and the Francophone world, is being inaugurated under the auspices of Yeditepe University. The leadership of the Turkey office will be undertaken by Dr. Cem Savaş, a faculty member of the Department of French Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University, established by Dominique Wolton, Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).

In conjunction with World Francophonie Week (French Language Festival), celebrated across 56 countries, Yeditepe University hosted a special event.

The event, which also celebrated the opening of the Hermès Journal Turkey Office, saw attendance from the journal's founder Dominique Wolton, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yeditepe University, Prof. Dr. Elif Erişen, the Head of the Department of French Political Science and International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Bayındır Goularas, Deputy Head of the Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işıl Zeynep Turkan İpek and Assist. Prof. Dr. Cem Savaş, along with many academics and students.

About Hermès Journal:
Established in 1988 by Dominique Wolton, affiliated with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Hermès (Hermès la Revue) covers communication, culture, political science, international relations, and sociology research. This French-language journal, which has released 89 issues to date, features contributions from nearly 2000 authors. Hermès, published three times a year, is also accessible online. With 10 national offices in France and now four international representations, including Türkiye, Hermès has a broad, interdisciplinary, and international editorial board featuring members like Dr. Cem Savaş from Yeditepe University's Department of French Political Science and International Relations.
