Throughout history, wars have led to death and suffering, increased enmity and hatred. What the world needs today is 'peace.' Every individual has the right to life, freedom, and security. The bombing of cities and loss of lives today is one of the greatest tragedies we face. These actions cannot be justified or accepted in any way. Regardless of the reasons, they must be brought to an end.
Guided by the words of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World,' striving for peace is the responsibility of us all.
As Yeditepe University, we wish for the prompt cessation of wars.
