Publishing is an integral element of the researcher process that most scholars have to publish at least once in their professional careers. Researchers must also manage an ever-evolving publishing environment. This workshop is designed for early-career researchers with limited publishing experience. It will provide a basic overview of the current state of academic publishing, with a particular focus on Open Access, to better understand the process and provide guidance to help them succeed.
The workshop will cover the following topics with examples and provide the opportunity to ask questions:
· How is a journal evaluated?
· Open access advantages and challenges
· Preparing your article for publication
· Research and publication ethics: an overview of publication ethics
· Peer review basics: overview with suggestions on how to respond to review comments
· Typical reasons for rejection and avoidance
The webinar will be presented in English with Turkish slides. Our team will be available in both languages to assist you with your questions.
