Acting training certificate Program is being implemented with the cooperation of YEDİTEPE UNIVERSİTY AND MICHAEL CHEKHOV EUROPE which is one of the leading acting schools of Europe. Acting workshop which shall be implemented under the tutorial of Jobst Langhast (Germany), Soledad Garre (Spain) and Susana Nikolic (Croatia), will be carried out at Yeditepe University, Drama Department. In the workshop program, the acting technique developed by Michael Chekhov, the nephew of playwright Anton Chekov and also one of the greatest actors of the 20th century will be applied by second generation tutors and the program consists of 6 modules in total and one project. Each module consists of a five-day workshop aimed at a certain goal in acting, and students who complete 6 modules and a project will qualify to get the joint certificate of Michael Chekhov Europe and Yeditepe University. Students who complete each module without any absenteeism will also be given a participation certificate. 2 or 3 modules are planned to be opened a year and joining the program is subject to fee payments.
Michael Chekhov, who considers imagination as the essence of creativity, develops techniques that will make the images formed in the player’s mind dynamic by placing the imagery to the root of acting technique. With the acting technique of Michael Chekhov, it is aimed that students shall make new discoveries on themselves thanks to concentration, imagery, psychological jest and imaginary atmosphere.
